POOL MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST, BY MIKE FOURNIER, TULSA, SONRISE POOLS
As a swimming pool owner, you should be aware that maintenance is a must. Failing to do so can mean many days of emptying and refilling your pool, or worse than that, you may spend hundreds or thousands to replace pool equipment and filter assemblies.
The walls and floor of your pool must be kept clean to stop algae and other organic contamination. Pumps and filters must be closely watched for indications of distress.
Here is a list of things that you need to monitor so you can enjoy your pool:
Daily Swimming Pool Maintenance:
Check filter pressure.
Clean filter if the water is not clear.
Remove debris from strainer basket.
Test the water, and add recommended chemicals.
Weekly Swimming Pool Maintenance:
Use a nylon brush to clean tile and walls of pool.
A stainless steel brush should be used to loosen algae on concrete walls.
Check walls or vinyl liner for cracks or tears, and repair with an appropriate kit for your pool.
Hose off the deck but aim water away from the pool.
Invest in a pool cover that will reduce evaporation, keep debris out of water and trap the heat.
Pool maintenance can take several hours per week. Call Mike Fournier, a pool professional, with Sonrise Hardcaping; he can perform pool maintenance and you will have your free time.
